A change in your ability to communicate as effectively and clearly as you may like could be caused by a number of things from stroke to head injury or some cancers.
Talking Plenty offers one on one assessment, therapy and intervention for adults with the following difficulties or disorders:
- Speech difficulties following stroke (e.g apraxia, dysarthria)
- Language difficulties following stroke (e.g. aphasia)
- Speech or communication difficulties following Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI)
- Voice disorders
- Long standing fluency issues (stuttering)
- Swallowing difficulties (dysphagia)
- Reading and writing difficulties following stroke or TBI
Communication Education
Talking Plenty can also offer communication and strategy education in the community. A presentation with resources around maximising communication in the environment will be provided, for example in rest homes, GP practices and work places.
